Bed Bug Mattress Encasement or Discarding the Bed?

Bed Bug Mattress Encasement or Discarding the Bed?

Most furnishings will be safe from the treatment. In case of heavily infested and in poor condition beds, recliners or sofas, where bugs and eggs remain in hard-to-reach places, bed bug exterminator can recommend them to be discarded.

Infested items need to be bagged or wrapped to prevents bed bugs from escaping and spreading around.
The most economical option for the bed is to use bed bug mattress encasement. Encase both the mattress and box spring in a protective cover. Many companies offer bed bug encasement specially designed for protection against bedbugs.
Higher quality ones are more durable and comfortable to sleep on. Once the bed bug encasement is installed and zipped shut, any bugs inside eventually will die. They are thick enough so trapped bedbugs cannot bite through it and have tight zippers that the bugs cannot escape through.
Bed bug encasement also help protect newly purchased bed and make it easier to spot and destroy any bugs remaining on the surface during the following examination.
Bed bug mattress encasement is an economical alternative to discarding infested beds, but they will not keep bedbugs from creeping onto a bed and biting you.
